Prolific goalscorer Mohamed Salah has finally extended his contract with Liverpool and looks destined to break the all-time PL goalscoring record.

It has been just a few hours since LFC confirmed via their social media handles that their celebrated talisman, Salah, has signed a two-year contract extension.

Both the fans and the team are delighted by the news as the Egyptian forward will be staying a bit longer and showcase his greatness at the Merseyside club.

Despite many rumours circulating regarding his exit from the Anfield side and moving to the Saudi Pro League for the last few seasons, the 32-year-old has agreed to stay for another two years, busting all rumours.

Currently, Salah is tied with Sergio Aguero at 184 goals and it looks like he will be breaking this record this Sunday against West Ham United.

The next achievable record for the ex-Roma man is the most goal contributions in a single Premier League season.

Salah is on 44 goal contributions after 31 games this season, level with Thierry Hemy and Erling Haaland

He needs only four more goal contributions to surpass Andy Cole and Alan Shearer, both of whom are tied at 47 goals plus assists.

Ian Rush leads the top Liverpool goalscorer chart with 339 goals, followed by second-placed Roger Hunt with 274

The Egyptian King sita third with 243 goals, well within the range to reach Hunt’s tally but might not be able to equalise with Ian Rush.

However, the most exciting stat that most fans and Salah himself must be anticipating to break is of the highest PL goalscorer

Alan Shearer holds the top spot with 260 goals, followed by Harry Kane (213), Wayne Rooney (208), Andy Cole (187), and Aguero and Salah (184).

While many of these records might look unbreakable, it must be remembered that Mohamed Salah has achieved all the previous records in just seven and a half seasons
